SAIGA-12K, GBB, Tokyo Marui
The SAIGA-12K semi-automatic shotgun is based on the proven AK platform mechanism. The Saiga-12 model is a self-loading shotgun designed for the civilian market, while the compact Saiga-12K variant, developed for the needs of law enforcement agencies, is the first gas-operated shotgun with a realistic blowback system in Tokyo Marui’s lineup.
The newly developed blowback mechanism allows for the simultaneous firing of three projectiles while generating dynamic bolt movement during firing. Thanks to a detailed focus on the design of the real-world prototype, including precise measurements of the original gun, the airsoft replica achieves exceptionally faithful craftsmanship. A strong and authentic recoil is provided by a specially designed blowback system featuring a large-volume piston with a diameter of approximately 19 mm. The bolt movement is synchronized with the firing, which significantly enhances the realistic shooting experience.
The airsoft model faithfully simulates the functions of the real gun, including cocking the slide to chamber the first round and automatic slide lock after the magazine is empty. The design also allows for disassembly and maintenance in a manner similar to the real firearm. An integrated automatic stop system detects an empty magazine and halts firing. If necessary, this function can be deactivated using a switch located on the magazine, allowing for firing even without BBs.
Maximum emphasis was placed on the accuracy of the external finish. Thanks to the use of data from the real gun, the geometry of individual parts was optimized. The bolt cover and the fire mode selector lever are made of stamped steel, just like the original. The shotgun body and outer barrel are made of aluminum alloy. The foregrip, side-folding stock, and grip are made of nylon-reinforced polymer. The front sight is height-adjustable using a special tool. A wide range of optical sights can be mounted on the side rail of the receiver, for example using a compatible rail for AK74-type guns.
The package includes a 45-BB polymer magazine equipped with a temperature indicator on the surface of the gas cylinder. The package also includes a protective cap, a tool for adjusting the front sight, an instruction manual, a speed loader, a loading rod, a cleaning rod, and 0.2 g BBs.
