SAIGA-12 SBS, GBB, Tokyo Marui
The SAIGA-12 SBS is a compact and significantly modified version of the Saiga-12K model, featuring expanded accessory mounting options and a newly integrated fully automatic firing mode. Another model in the line of blowback gas-powered shotguns from Tokyo Marui. The airsoft model allows for the simultaneous firing of three rounds in both semi-automatic and fully automatic modes, while also offering an improved design with a significantly shortened barrel.
Compared to the base Saiga-12K variant, the Saiga-12 SBS (Short-Barreled Shotgun) model is equipped with an adjustable telescoping stock with six length positions, allowing for optimal adaptation to the shooter and the specific situation. The special foregrip is designed with an emphasis on modularity and features removable mounting rails for installing a wide range of accessories, making it an ideal platform for use in CQB environments.
A powerful blowback system with a piston approximately 19 mm in diameter ensures a pronounced and realistic recoil. The bolt movement is synchronized with firing, enhancing the authentic experience in both semi-automatic and fully automatic modes. The shortened 7.5-inch (19 cm) outer barrel is even more compact than on the 12K model. Combined with a machined aluminum flash hider, the total length of the front end is just 9 inches (23 cm), ensuring excellent maneuverability even in confined spaces. The bolt cover and fire mode selector lever are made of stamped steel. The shotgun body and outer barrel are made of aluminum alloy. The foregrip, side-folding stock, and grip are made of nylon-reinforced polymer.
The foregrip comes standard with 20 mm mounting rails (Picatinny) on the top and sides, while the bottom rail can be easily attached as needed. For a minimalist look, all rails can be removed to achieve a cleaner configuration. The top rail also integrates fixed front and rear sights. The stock is not only length-adjustable in six positions but also fully folding to the right side of the gun, facilitating transport and handling in confined spaces.
The model retains the realistic controls familiar from the Saiga platform, including cocking the bolt to chamber the first round, automatic bolt catch engagement after the magazine is empty, and the ability to disassemble the rifle for routine maintenance. The integrated automatic stop-fire system halts operation when the magazine is empty. This function can be deactivated using a switch located on the magazine, allowing firing even without BBs present.
The package includes an extended polymer magazine with a capacity of 90 BBs, equipped with a temperature indicator on the surface of the gas tank. The package also includes a protective cap, a bottom rail, screws for the rail (2 types), an Allen wrench, an instruction manual, a speed loader, a loading rod, a cleaning rod, and 0.2 g BBs.
